Women with advanced age or poor ovarian reserve tests can be offered IVF with the use of egg donor.

In this, a young woman is stimulated with injections, and multiple eggs are retrieved from her. These can then be fertilised with male partner’s sperm to produce embryos.

Subsequent embryos so formed are then implanted into the female partners womb. Thus in cases where a woman is unable to produce eggs on her own, IVF with donor eggs give her an opportunity to bear a child on her own using eggs from another woman, with decent success rates of 50-55% per cycle.
